Drawing is very important to an artist – without the ability to draw most artists are unable to paint convincingly. Drawing is one of the basic exercises that I try to do as frequently as possible but like many busy parents, I seldom get enough time to practice properly. Which is why I like to attend one of the life classes near my home town; its a regular time and a regular place that gets me drawing. Here’s some examples from the most recent life class I attended, last week. We have an excellent model, Jenny, who can hold just about any any pose we ask – an underrated skill as most of us would gradually ‘sink down’ over a period of time.
